1. What is Counselling?

Counselling is the “process of meeting with a counsellor or psychotherapist for the purpose of resolving problematic behaviours, beliefs, feelings and related physical symptoms. Counselling uses an interpersonal relationship to help develop the client’s self-understanding and to make changes in his or her life” (PACFA).

2. How Long is a Session?

50 minutes.

3. Are the Sessions Confidential?

Sessions are private except in certain circumstances.  Further details will be provided in the first session.

4. Can You Fix My Issue?

A counsellor’s role is not to find a quick fix. The counsellor and client play an equal role in the process and work together to understand and resolve the issue.
